Satan: God's Copy Cat

Satan's greatest tool against mankind is deception. Deception is the state of mind where an individual thinks he/she is doing the right thing and yet he is either doing the right thing for the wrong reasons or he is ignorant of the right thing to do and how to it. 

The bible called Satan the deceiver, the old Serpent because he is cunning and crafty in his ways. Satan has been fighting God by fighting men (without most men even knowing he is the real evil) because mankind is God's beloved creatures. In fact, we are referred to as sons of God just like the angels because we occupy a prestigious position in the heart of God and this love of God towards us drives the devil crazy and in return fights back by spending time and resources on turning men against God. But why? To answer this question, we need to go back to the Bible to find answers.

Old Serpent, Old Desire

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. ~ Isaiah 14 vs 12 - 14

In the last line of Isaiah 14 vs 14 lies Satan's greatest desire and motivation. It was the same desire that brought him down from Lucifer, a highly favored archangel, to Satan - a fallen angel. One would think after the fall from heaven due to the discipline God placed on him and his fellow rebels, Satan would drop his desire and seek forgiveness but He would not. Rather, Satan has sought ways to achieve his desire of being God through many means and the best is to get human beings, God's most beloved creature, to serve and worship him rather than God our Creator. 

It may interest you to know that this singular desire of Satan is the driving force behind all of his wicked perpetrations and attacks on human life. Satan specializes in turning men's hearts against God and the truth in order to gain their attention, affection, applauds, submission, support, and ultimately their worship. Sadly, he is winning the minds of men using various subtle tactics. Whenever you feel disappointed or have doubts in your mind about God it is most likely the activity of the devil. Have you ever wondered why of late there are musicians and celebrities promising to defend and support the devil openly? Satan is at work and his demonic activities are increased in these last days. 

Let us look at areas satan copied God in order to disguise himself either as God or turn men's hearts against God.

The Virgin Birth of Jesus

After Adam and Eve fell to the temptation of Satan, God in judgment prophesied about the bruising of the head of the serpent by the seed of the woman. In Genesis 3 vs 14,15

And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Do you know there are claims here and there that the virgin birth of Jesus is not unique? Claims exist that Christianity was copied from pagan religions and that Jesus was not the first person to be born by a virgin. Historical figures and legends such as Perseus, Heracles, Alexander the Great, Romulus, etc. were claimed to be born by gods without the sexual intercourse of a man. This is a lie of the devil. Satan knew about the birth of Jesus will come someday through the prophesy of God in Genesis 3 vs 15 and therefore went ahead to spread false claims of a possible virgin birth in order to disqualify the uniqueness of Jesus' birth. Let's not forget that at the time that Jesus was eventually born by Mary his mother, Satan moved Herod to kill all male children below 2 years old in the rage of the birth of Jesus. Satan wanted to get rid of baby Jesus the moment he knew he was born but of course, you know, he failed! (Matthew 2 vs 1 - 3, 12 - 17)

False Christ and False Jesus

Jesus Christ while on earth predicted that many false Christ shall arise towards the end of the world and shall claim that they are the messiah. In Matthew 24 vs 4,5:

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

In Nigeria, there were Jesus of Oyinbo and all over the world, different persons have claimed that they are Jesus. There are over 30 documented cases which you can read here. Jesus forewarned us that towards the end of the world Satan will raise people who are meant to distract innocent and unlearned people from knowing the true Jesus thereby earning their submission and support.

The Anti Christ

The AntiChrist is going to be one of Satan's boldest claim to the throne of God. God gave us Jesus his only begotten of God and filled him with the fullness of God and sent him to the world to save and heal the broken relationship between man and God. Satan will raise up a man and shall fill him with the fullness of his power and this man shall sit in the temple claiming that he is God. The world will see the man but his voice shall be the voice of Satan. Remember Satan's greatest desire: "I shall be like the most High". Let's the scriptures:

Jesus

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3 vs 16 -18.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; Colossians 1 vs 12 - 19

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Colossians 2 vs 8 - 10  

The AntiChrist

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2 vs 4 - 10

Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: Ezekiel 28 vs 2

Can you see the similarities? Yeah, l am sure you did! The entire battles and challenges in this world are tied to just the singular desire of Satan to be God.

Warning for the discerning readers

It is the last days and Satan is putting all his cards on the table and no options are off the table. He is doing everything possible to distract you and your loved ones from focusing on Jesus and his redemptive power. There are many false claims of salvation, miracles, and lying wonders. People falling under the anointing only to rise to commit sins. That is not the saving power of God. Prostitutes and drug addicts receiving the Holy Ghost and prophesying without repenting of their sins, pastors, and ministers committing immoralities with their church members, rising claims of LGBTQ, false religious, atheistic, violent, and cult groups are all strategies of the devil in the expression of his defiance of God's supremacy and pursuit of His impossible dream of being like God. All these are the deception of Satan to keep mankind from knowing their Savior and repent of their sins. 

Satan needs followers that is why he is recruiting men and women all over the world to join his dream team but it's all a lie. The devil hates man with every passion and he only wants to play you so as to get to God but He will fail because you will know the truth and the truth will set you free and the truth is Jesus. (John 8 vs 32, 36)

Do not fall for the deception of Satan. Jesus came to save us from our sins and deliver us from the manipulation of the power of darkness. Satan is an intoxicated spirit who took his intelligence way ahead of his own head. He is just a copy cat. God is our father, Jesus is our Saviour and the Holy Ghost is our comforter.
