Josh.3.10

This is how you'll know that God is alive among you--he will completely dispossess before you the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and Jebusites.

Today you will know that the living God is among you. He will surely drive out the Canaanites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, and Jebusites.

Josh.3.11

Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.

Josh.3.11

Look at what's before you: the Chest of the Covenant. Think of it--the Master of the entire earth is crossing the Jordan as you watch.

Josh.3.11

See, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth will go into the Jordan ahead of you.

Josh.3.11

Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over before you into the Jordan.

Josh.3.11

Think of it! The Ark of the Covenant, which belongs to the Lord of the whole earth, will lead you across the Jordan River!

Josh.3.12

Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe a man.

Josh.3.12

Now take twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from each tribe.

Josh.3.12

Now then, choose twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one from each tribe.

Josh.3.12

Now therefore, take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man from every tribe.

Josh.3.12

Now choose twelve men, one from each tribe.

Josh.3.13

And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap.

Josh.3.13

When the soles of the feet of the priests carrying the Chest of GOD, Master of all the earth, touch the Jordan's water, the flow of water will be stopped--the water coming from upstream will pile up in a heap."

Josh.3.13

And as soon as the priests who carry the ark of the LORD -the Lord of all the earth-set foot in the Jordan, its waters flowing downstream will be cut off and stand up in a heap."

Josh.3.13

And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap."

Josh.3.13

The priests will be carrying the Ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth. When their feet touch the water, the flow of water will be cut off upstream, and the river will pile up there in one heap."

Josh.3.14

And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people;

Josh.3.14

And that's what happened. The people left their tents to cross the Jordan, led by the priests carrying the Chest of the Covenant.

Josh.3.14

So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them.

Josh.3.14

So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people,

Josh.3.14

When the people set out to cross the Jordan, the priests who were carrying the Ark of the Covenant went ahead of them.

Josh.3.15

And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)

Josh.3.15

When the priests got to the Jordan and their feet touched the water at the edge (the Jordan overflows its banks throughout the harvest),

Josh.3.15

Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water's edge,

Josh.3.15

and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest),

Josh.3.15

Now it was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river's edge,

Josh.3.16

That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.

Josh.3.16

the flow of water stopped. It piled up in a heap--a long way off--at Adam, which is near Zarethan. The river went dry all the way down to the Arabah Sea (the Salt Sea). And the people crossed, facing Jericho.

Josh.3.16

the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea ) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.

Josh.3.16

that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.

Josh.3.16

the water began piling up at a town upstream called Adam, which is near Zarethan. And the water below that point flowed on to the Dead Sea until the riverbed was dry. Then all the people crossed over near the city of Jericho.

Josh.3.17

And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.

Josh.3.17

And there they stood; those priests carrying the Chest of the Covenant stood firmly planted on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan while all Israel crossed on dry ground. Finally the whole nation was across the Jordan, and not one wet foot.

Josh.3.17

The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground.

Josh.3.17

Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.

Josh.3.17

Meanwhile, the priests who were carrying the Ark of the LORD's covenant stood on dry ground in the middle of the riverbed as the people passed by them. They waited there until everyone had crossed the Jordan on dry ground.
