Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.

O my soul, bless GOD! GOD, my God, how great you are! beautifully, gloriously robed,

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:

Dressed up in sunshine, and all heaven stretched out for your tent.

you are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;

Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:

You built your palace on the ocean deeps, made a chariot out of clouds and took off on wind--wings.

and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters. He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.

you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds. You make the clouds your chariots; you ride upon the wings of the wind.

Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

You commandeered winds as messengers, appointed fire and flame as ambassadors.

He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.

Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

You set earth on a firm foundation so that nothing can shake it, ever.

He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.

You who laid the foundations of the earth, So that it should not be moved forever,

Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

You make grass grow for the livestock, hay for the animals that plow the ground. Oh yes, God brings grain from the land,

And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

What a wildly wonderful world, GOD! You made it all, with Wisdom at your side, made earth overflow with your wonderful creations.

If you turned your back, they'd die in a minute--Take back your Spirit and they die, revert to original mud;

But if you turn away from them, they panic. When you take away their breath, they die and turn again to dust.

Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
