Gen.5.1

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

When Seth was 105 years old, his son Enosh was born.

And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:

After Seth had Enosh, he lived another 807 years, having more sons and daughters.

And after he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters.

After he begot Enosh, Seth lived eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters.

After the birth of Enosh, Seth lived another 807 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

Seth lived a total of 912 years. And he died.

And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:

When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.

Enosh lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.

When Enosh was 90 years old, his son Kenan was born.

And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:

After he had Kenan, he lived another 815 years, having more sons and daughters.

And after he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters.

After he begot Cainan, Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters.

After the birth of Kenan, Enosh lived another 815 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

When Kenan was 70 years old, his son Mahalalel was born.

And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:

After he had Mahalalel, he lived another 840 years, having more sons and daughters.

And after he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters.

After he begot Mahalalel, Cainan lived eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters.

After the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan lived another 840 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

Kenan lived a total of 910 years. And he died.

When Jared was 162 years old, his son Enoch was born.

And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

After he had Enoch, he lived another 800 years, having more sons and daughters.

And after he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.

When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.

When Enoch was 65 years old, his son Methuselah was born.

And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

Enoch walked steadily with God. After he had Methuselah, he lived another 300 years, having more sons and daughters.

And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters.

After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters.

After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived another 300 years in close fellowship with God, and he had other sons and daughters.

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

Enoch lived a total of 365 years.

Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years.

So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch walked steadily with God. And then one day he was simply gone: God took him.

Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

He enjoyed a close relationship with God throughout his life. Then suddenly, he disappeared because God took him.

And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:

When Methuselah was 187 years old, he had Lamech.

When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.

Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.

Gen.5.25

When Methuselah was 187 years old, his son Lamech was born.

Gen.5.26

And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

After he had Lamech, he lived another 782 years.

And after he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters.

After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters.

After the birth of Lamech, Methuselah lived another 782 years, and he had other sons and daughters.

And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

When Lamech was 182 years old, his son Noah was born.

Gen.5.29

And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

He named him Noah, saying, "This one will give us a break from the hard work of farming the ground that GOD cursed."

Gen.5.29

He named him Noah and said, "He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the LORD has cursed."

Gen.5.29

And he called his name Noah, saying, "This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed."

Gen.5.29

Lamech named his son Noah, for he said, "He will bring us relief from the painful labor of farming this ground that the LORD has cursed."

Gen.5.30

And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

Gen.5.30

After Lamech had Noah, he lived another 595 years, having more sons and daughters.

After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters.

After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters.
