Ps.106.40

And GOD was furious--a wildfire anger; he couldn't stand even to look at his people.

Again and again he delivered them, but they continued to rebel against him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin.

Still, when God saw the trouble they were in and heard their cries for help,

But he took note of their distress when he heard their cry;

Nevertheless He regarded their affliction, When He heard their cry;

Even so, he pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries.

He remembered his Covenant with them, and, immense with love, took them by the hand.

for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented.

He poured out his mercy on them while their captors looked on, amazed.

Save us, GOD, our God! Gather us back out of exile So we can give thanks to your holy name and join in the glory when you are praised!

O LORD our God, save us! Gather us back from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you.
