And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.

You said, "I'm the First Lady. I'll always be the pampered darling.' You took nothing seriously, took nothing to heart, never gave tomorrow a thought.

You said, 'I will continue forever- the eternal queen!' But you did not consider these things or reflect on what might happen.

And you said, "I shall be a lady forever,' So that you did not take these things to heart, Nor remember the latter end of them.

You thought, `I will reign forever as queen of the world!' You did not care at all about my people or think about the consequences of your actions.
