And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.

David said to him, "Who do you belong to? Where are you from?I'm an Egyptian slave of an Amalekite," he said. "My master walked off and left me when I got sick--that was three days ago.

David asked him, "To whom do you belong, and where do you come from?" He said, "I am an Egyptian, the slave of an Amalekite. My master abandoned me when I became ill three days ago.
