Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

Ps.94.12

How blessed the man you train, GOD, the woman you instruct in your Word,

Ps.94.12

Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD, the man you teach from your law;

Ps.94.12

Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O LORD, And teach out of Your law,

Ps.94.12

Happy are those whom you discipline, LORD, and those whom you teach from your law.

Ps.94.13

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Ps.94.13

Providing a circle of quiet within the clamor of evil, while a jail is being built for the wicked.

you grant him relief from days of trouble, till a pit is dug for the wicked.

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

The LORD will not reject his people; he will not abandon his own special possession.

Ps.94.15

But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Rest assured that justice is on its way and every good heart put right.

Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.

Judgment will come again for the righteous, and those who are upright will have a reward.

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Who stood up for me against the wicked? Who took my side against evil workers?

Ps.94.16

Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will take a stand for me against evildoers?

Who will protect me from the wicked? Who will stand up for me against evildoers?

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

Ps.94.17

If GOD hadn't been there for me, I never would have made it.

Ps.94.17

Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.

Unless the LORD had been my help, My soul would soon have settled in silence.

Unless the LORD had helped me, I would soon have died.

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

The minute I said, "I'm slipping, I'm falling," your love, GOD, took hold and held me fast.

When I said, "My foot is slipping," your love, O LORD, supported me.

Ps.94.18

If I say, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up.

Ps.94.18

I cried out, "I'm slipping!" and your unfailing love, O LORD, supported me.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Ps.94.19

When I was upset and beside myself, you calmed me down and cheered me up.

Ps.94.19

When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

Ps.94.20

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

Ps.94.20

Can Misrule have anything in common with you? Can Troublemaker pretend to be on your side?

Ps.94.20

Can a corrupt throne be allied with you- one that brings on misery by its decrees?

Ps.94.20

Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, Have fellowship with You?

Ps.94.20

Can unjust leaders claim that God is on their side--leaders who permit injustice by their laws?

Ps.94.21

They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Ps.94.21

They ganged up on good people, plotted behind the backs of the innocent.

Ps.94.21

They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.

Ps.94.21

They gather together against the life of the righteous, And condemn innocent blood.

Ps.94.21

They attack the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.

Ps.94.22

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Ps.94.22

But GOD became my hideout, God was my high mountain retreat,

Ps.94.22

But the LORD has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge.

Ps.94.22

But the LORD has been my defense, And my God the rock of my refuge.

But the LORD is my fortress; my God is a mighty rock where I can hide.

Ps.94.23

And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

Ps.94.23

Then boomeranged their evil back on them: for their evil ways he wiped them out, our GOD cleaned them out for good.

Ps.94.23

He will repay them for their sins and destroy them for their wickedness; the LORD our God will destroy them.

Ps.94.23

He has brought on them their own iniquity, And shall cut them off in their own wickedness; The LORD our God shall cut them off.

Ps.94.23

God will make the sins of evil people fall back upon them. He will destroy them for their sins. The LORD our God will destroy them.
