How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

How long do we put up with this, GOD? Are you gone for good? Will you hold this grudge forever?

How long, O LORD? Will you hide yourself forever? How long will your wrath burn like fire?

O LORD, how long will this go on? Will you hide yourself forever? How long will your anger burn like fire?

Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

Remember my sorrow and how short life is. Did you create men and women for nothing but this?

Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all men!

What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

We'll see death soon enough. Everyone does. And there's no back door out of hell.

No one can live forever; all will die. No one can escape the power of the grave.

Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?

So where is the love you're so famous for, Lord? What happened to your promise to David?

O Lord, where is your former great love, which in your faithfulness you swore to David?

Lord, where are Your former lovingkindnesses, Which You swore to David in Your truth?

Lord, where is your unfailing love? You promised it to David with a faithful pledge.

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

Take a good look at your servant, dear Lord; I'm the butt of the jokes of all nations,

Remember, Lord, how your servant has been mocked, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the nations,

Remember, Lord, the reproach of Your servants-- How I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the many peoples,

Consider, Lord, how your servants are disgraced! I carry in my heart the insults of so many people.

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

The taunting jokes of your enemies, GOD, as they dog the steps of your dear anointed.

the taunts with which your enemies have mocked, O LORD, with which they have mocked every step of your anointed one.

With which Your enemies have reproached, O LORD, With which they have reproached the footsteps of Your anointed.

Your enemies have mocked me, O LORD; they mock the one you anointed as king.
