Ps.89.38

But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

But GOD, you did walk off and leave us, you lost your temper with the one you anointed.

But you have rejected, you have spurned, you have been very angry with your anointed one.

But You have cast off and abhorred, You have been furious with Your anointed.

But now you have rejected him. Why are you so angry with the one you chose as king?

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

You tore up the promise you made to your servant, you stomped his crown in the mud.

You have renounced the covenant with your servant and have defiled his crown in the dust.

You have renounced the covenant of Your servant; You have profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

You have renounced your covenant with him, for you have thrown his crown in the dust.

Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

You blasted his home to kingdom come, reduced his city to a pile of rubble

You have broken down the walls protecting him and laid in ruins every fort defending him.

All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

Picked clean by wayfaring strangers, a joke to all the neighbors.

All who pass by have plundered him; he has become the scorn of his neighbors.

Everyone who comes along has robbed him while his neighbors mock.

Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

You declared a holiday for all his enemies, and they're celebrating for all they're worth.

You have exalted the right hand of his foes; you have made all his enemies rejoice.

Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

You have made his sword useless and have refused to help him in battle.

Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.

You robbed him of his splendor, humiliated this warrior, ground his kingly honor in the dirt.

You have put an end to his splendor and cast his throne to the ground.

You have made his glory cease, And cast his throne down to the ground.

You have ended his splendor and overturned his throne.

The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

You took the best years of his life and left him an impotent, ruined husk.
