Ps.77.1

I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.

Ps.77.1

I yell out to my God, I yell with all my might, I yell at the top of my lungs. He listens.

Ps.77.1

I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me.

Ps.77.1

I cried out to God with my voice-- To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me.

Ps.77.1

I cry out to God without holding back. Oh, that God would listen to me!

Ps.77.2

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.

Ps.77.2

I found myself in trouble and went looking for my Lord; my life was an open wound that wouldn't heal. When friends said, "Everything will turn out all right," I didn't believe a word they said.

When I was in distress, I sought the Lord; at night I stretched out untiring hands and my soul refused to be comforted.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted.

When I was in deep trouble, I searched for the Lord. All night long I pray, with hands lifted toward heaven, pleading. There can be no joy for me until he acts.

I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.

I remember God--and shake my head. I bow my head--then wring my hands.

I think of God, and I moan, overwhelmed with longing for his help.

Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

I'm awake all night--not a wink of sleep; I can't even say what's bothering me.

You kept my eyes from closing; I was too troubled to speak.

You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

You don't let me sleep. I am too distressed even to pray!

I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.

Ps.77.5

I go over the days one by one, I ponder the years gone by.

I thought about the former days, the years of long ago;

I think of the good old days, long since ended,

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

Ps.77.6

I strum my lute all through the night, wondering how to get my life together.

I remembered my songs in the night. My heart mused and my spirit inquired:

when my nights were filled with joyful songs. I search my soul and think about the difference now.

Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?

Will the Lord walk off and leave us for good? Will he never smile again?

"Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again?

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more?

Has the Lord rejected me forever? Will he never again show me favor?

Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth his promise fail for evermore?

Is his love worn threadbare? Has his salvation promise burned out?

Ps.77.8

Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time?

Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore?

Ps.77.8

Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed?

Ps.77.9

Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.

Ps.77.9

Has God forgotten his manners? Has he angrily stalked off and left us?

Ps.77.9

Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?" Selah
