Ps.71.9

Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

Ps.71.9

But don't turn me out to pasture when I'm old or put me on the shelf when I can't pull my weight.

Do not cast me away when I am old; do not forsake me when my strength is gone.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails.

And now, in my old age, don't set me aside. Don't abandon me when my strength is failing.

For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

My enemies are talking behind my back, watching for their chance to knife me.

For my enemies speak against me; those who wait to kill me conspire together.

For my enemies speak against me; And those who lie in wait for my life take counsel together,

For my enemies are whispering against me. They are plotting together to kill me.

Saying, God hath forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

The gossip is: "God has abandoned him. Pounce on him now; no one will help him."

They say, "God has forsaken him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue him."

Saying, "God has forsaken him; Pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him."

Ps.71.11

They say, "God has abandoned him. Let's go and get him, for there is no one to help him now."

Ps.71.12

O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.

Ps.71.12

God, don't just watch from the sidelines. Come on! Run to my side!

Be not far from me, O God; come quickly, O my God, to help me.

Ps.71.12

O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!

Ps.71.12

O God, don't stay away. My God, please hurry to help me.

Ps.71.13

Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.

My accusers--make them lose face. Those out to get me--make them look Like idiots,

Ps.71.13

May my accusers perish in shame; may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.

Let them be confounded and consumed Who are adversaries of my life; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor Who seek my hurt.

Ps.71.13

Bring disgrace and destruction on those who accuse me. May humiliation and shame cover those who want to harm me.

But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.

while I stretch out, reaching for you, and daily add praise to praise.

But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.

My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.

I'll write the book on your righteousness, talk up your salvation the livelong day, never run out of good things to write or say.

My mouth will tell of your righteousness, of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure.

My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits.

Ps.71.15

I will tell everyone about your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim your saving power, for I am overwhelmed by how much you have done for me.

Ps.71.16

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.

I come in the power of the Lord GOD, I post signs marking his right--of-way.

I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, O Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone.

I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.

I will praise your mighty deeds, O Sovereign LORD. I will tell everyone that you alone are just and good.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

You got me when I was an unformed youth, God, and taught me everything I know. Now I'm telling the world your wonders;

Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.

O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.

O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I have constantly told others about the wonderful things you do.

Ps.71.18

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.

Ps.71.18

I'll keep at it until I'm old and gray. God, don't walk off and leave me until I get out the news Of your strong right arm to this world, news of your power to the world yet to come,

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.

Ps.71.18

Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.
