Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.

God, God, save me! I'm in over my head,

I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

Quicksand under me, swamp water over me; I'm going down for the third time.

I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me.

I sink in deep mire, Where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me.

Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire; I can't find a foothold to stand on. I am in deep water, and the floods overwhelm me.

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.

I'm hoarse from calling for help, Bleary-eyed from searching the sky for God.

I am worn out calling for help; my throat is parched. My eyes fail, looking for my God.

Ps.69.3

I am weary with my crying; My throat is dry; My eyes fail while I wait for my God.

Ps.69.3

I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched and dry. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me.

Ps.69.4

They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

Ps.69.4

I've got more enemies than hairs on my head; Sneaks and liars are out to knife me in the back. What I never stole Must I now give back?

Ps.69.4

Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to destroy me. I am forced to restore what I did not steal.

Ps.69.4

Those who hate me without a cause Are more than the hairs of my head; They are mighty who would destroy me, Being my enemies wrongfully; Though I have stolen nothing, I still must restore it.

Ps.69.4

Those who hate me without cause are more numerous than the hairs on my head. These enemies who seek to destroy me are doing so without cause. They attack me with lies, demanding that I give back what I didn't steal.

Ps.69.5

O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

Ps.69.5

God, you know every sin I've committed; My life's a wide-open book before you.

Ps.69.5

You know my folly, O God; my guilt is not hidden from you.

Ps.69.5

O God, You know my foolishness; And my sins are not hidden from You.

Ps.69.5

O God, you know how foolish I am; my sins cannot be hidden from you.

Ps.69.6

Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

Ps.69.6

Don't let those who look to you in hope Be discouraged by what happens to me, Dear Lord! GOD of the armies! Don't let those out looking for you Come to a dead end by following me--Please, dear God of Israel!

May those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me, O Lord, the LORD Almighty; may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me, O God of Israel.

Let not those who wait for You, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed because of me; Let not those who seek You be confounded because of me, O God of Israel.

Ps.69.6

Don't let those who trust in you stumble because of me, O Sovereign LORD Almighty. Don't let me cause them to be humiliated, O God of Israel.

Ps.69.7

Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

Ps.69.7

Because of you I look like an idiot, I walk around ashamed to show my face.

Ps.69.7

For I endure scorn for your sake, and shame covers my face.

Ps.69.7

Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; Shame has covered my face.

Ps.69.7

For I am mocked and shamed for your sake; humiliation is written all over my face.

Ps.69.8

I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.

Ps.69.8

My brothers shun me like a bum off the street; My family treats me like an unwanted guest.

Ps.69.8

I am a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my own mother's sons;

Ps.69.8

I have become a stranger to my brothers, And an alien to my mother's children;

Ps.69.8

Even my own brothers pretend they don't know me; they treat me like a stranger.

Ps.69.9

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

Ps.69.9

I love you more than I can say. Because I'm madly in love with you, They blame me for everything they dislike about you.

Ps.69.9

for zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me.

Ps.69.9

Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.

Ps.69.9

Passion for your house burns within me, so those who insult you are also insulting me.

Ps.69.10

When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

Ps.69.10

When I poured myself out in prayer and fasting, All it got me was more contempt.

Ps.69.10

When I weep and fast, I must endure scorn;

Ps.69.10

I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.

When I put on a sad face, They treated me like a clown.

when I put on sackcloth, people make sport of me.

I also made sackcloth my garment; I became a byword to them.

Ps.69.11

When I dress in sackcloth to show sorrow, they make fun of me.

Ps.69.12

They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.

Ps.69.12

Now drunks and gluttons Make up drinking songs about me.

Ps.69.12

Those who sit at the gate mock me, and I am the song of the drunkards.

Ps.69.12

Those who sit in the gate speak against me, And I am the song of the drunkards.

I am the favorite topic of town gossip, and all the drunkards sing about me.
