Ps.59.9

Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.

Ps.59.9

Strong God, I'm watching you do it, I can always count on you.

Ps.59.9

O my Strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress,

Ps.59.9

I will wait for You, O You his Strength; For God is my defense.

Ps.59.9

You are my strength; I wait for you to rescue me, for you, O God, are my place of safety.

Ps.59.10

The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

Ps.59.10

God in dependable love shows up on time, shows me my enemies in ruin.

my loving God. God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me.

My God of mercy shall come to meet me; God shall let me see my desire on my enemies.

Ps.59.10

In his unfailing love, my God will come and help me. He will let me look down in triumph on all my enemies.

Ps.59.11

Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

Ps.59.11

Don't make quick work of them, GOD, lest my people forget. Bring them down in slow motion, take them apart piece by piece.

But do not kill them, O Lord our shield, or my people will forget. In your might make them wander about, and bring them down.

Do not slay them, lest my people forget; Scatter them by Your power, And bring them down, O Lord our shield.

Don't kill them, for my people soon forget such lessons; stagger them with your power, and bring them to their knees, O Lord our shield.

Ps.59.12

For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

Let all their mean-mouthed arrogance catch up with them, Catch them out and bring them down -every muttered curse -every barefaced lie.

For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter,

For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be taken in their pride, And for the cursing and lying which they speak.

Ps.59.12

Because of the sinful things they say, because of the evil that is on their lips, let them be captured by their pride, their curses, and their lies.

Ps.59.13

Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

Ps.59.13

Finish them off in fine style! Finish them off for good! Then all the world will see that God rules well in Jacob, everywhere that God's in charge.

Destroy them in your anger! Wipe them out completely! Then the whole world will know that God reigns in Israel.

And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

They return when the sun goes down, They howl like coyotes, ringing the city.

They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.

And at evening they return, They growl like a dog, And go all around the city.

Ps.59.14

My enemies come out at night, snarling like vicious dogs as they prowl the streets.

Ps.59.15

Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

They scavenge for bones, And bite the hand that feeds them.

They wander about for food and howl if not satisfied.

Ps.59.15

They wander up and down for food, And howl if they are not satisfied.

Ps.59.15

They scavenge for food but go to sleep unsatisfied.

Ps.59.16

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

Ps.59.16

And me? I'm singing your prowess, shouting at cockcrow your largesse, For you've been a safe place for me, a good place to hide.

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble.

Ps.59.16

But as for me, I will sing about your power. I will shout with joy each morning because of your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety in the day of distress.

Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

Strong God, I'm watching you do it, I can always count on you--God, my dependable love.

To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.

O my Strength, to you I sing praises, for you, O God, are my refuge, the God who shows me unfailing love.
