Ps.28.1

Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

Ps.28.1

Don't turn a deaf ear when I call you, GOD. If all I get from you is deafening silence, I'd be better off in the Black Hole.

Ps.28.1

To you I call, O LORD my Rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who have gone down to the pit.

Ps.28.1

To You I will cry, O LORD my Rock: Do not be silent to me, Lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit.

Ps.28.1

O LORD, you are my rock of safety. Please help me; don't refuse to answer me. For if you are silent, I might as well give up and die.

Ps.28.2

Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

Ps.28.2

I'm letting you know what I need, calling out for help And lifting my arms toward your inner sanctum.

Ps.28.2

Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.

Ps.28.2

Hear the voice of my supplications When I cry to You, When I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.

Ps.28.2

Listen to my prayer for mercy as I cry out to you for help, as I lift my hands toward your holy sanctuary.

Ps.28.3

Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.

Ps.28.3

Don't shove me into the same jail cell with those crooks, With those who are full-time employees of evil.

Ps.28.3

Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbors but harbor malice in their hearts.

Ps.28.3

Do not take me away with the wicked And with the workers of iniquity, Who speak peace to their neighbors, But evil is in their hearts.

Ps.28.3

Don't drag me away with the wicked--with those who do evil--those who speak friendly words to their neighbors while planning evil in their hearts.

Ps.28.4

Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.

Ps.28.4

They talk a good line of "peace," then moonlight for the Devil. Pay them back for what they've done, for how bad they've been. Pay them back for their long hours in the Devil's workshop; Then cap it with a huge bonus.

Ps.28.4

Repay them for their deeds and for their evil work; repay them for what their hands have done and bring back upon them what they deserve.

Ps.28.4

Give them according to their deeds, And according to the wickedness of their endeavors; Give them according to the work of their hands; Render to them what they deserve.

Ps.28.4

Give them the punishment they so richly deserve! Measure it out in proportion to their wickedness. Pay them back for all their evil deeds! Give them a taste of what they have done to others.

Ps.28.5

Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

Ps.28.5

Because they have no idea how God works or what he is up to, God will smash them to smithereens and walk away from the ruins.

Ps.28.5

Since they show no regard for the works of the LORD and what his hands have done, he will tear them down and never build them up again.

Ps.28.5

Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, Nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them And not build them up.

Ps.28.5

They care nothing for what the LORD has done or for what his hands have made. So he will tear them down like old buildings, and they will never be rebuilt!

Ps.28.6

Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

Ps.28.6

Blessed be GOD- he heard me praying.

Ps.28.6

Praise be to the LORD, for he has heard my cry for mercy.

Ps.28.6

Blessed be the LORD, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!

Ps.28.6

Praise the LORD! For he has heard my cry for mercy.

Ps.28.7

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Ps.28.7

He proved he's on my side; I've thrown my lot in with him. Now I'm jumping for joy, and shouting and singing my thanks to him.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Ps.28.7

The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

Ps.28.7

The LORD is my strength, my shield from every danger. I trust in him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

Ps.28.8

The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

Ps.28.8

GOD is all strength for his people, ample refuge for his chosen leader;

Ps.28.8

The LORD is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

Ps.28.8

The LORD is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed.

Ps.28.8

The LORD protects his people and gives victory to his anointed king.

Ps.28.9

Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.

Ps.28.9

Save your people and bless your heritage. Care for them; carry them like a good shepherd.

Ps.28.9

Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.

Ps.28.9

Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever.

Ps.28.9

Save your people! Bless Israel, your special possession! Lead them like a shepherd, and carry them forever in your arms.
