Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

Blessed be GOD, my mountain, who trains me to fight fair and well.

My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

He's the bedrock on which I stand, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight, The high crag where I run for dear life, while he lays my enemies low.

He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my deliverer. He stands before me as a shield, and I take refuge in him. He subdues the nations under me.

LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

I wonder why you care, GOD- why do you bother with us at all?

O LORD, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him?

LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him?

O LORD, what are mortals that you should notice us, mere humans that you should care for us?

Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

All we are is a puff of air; we're like shadows in a campfire.

Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

Step down out of heaven, GOD; ignite volcanoes in the hearts of the mountains.

Bend down the heavens, LORD, and come down. Touch the mountains so they billow smoke.

Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

Hurl your lightnings in every direction; shoot your arrows this way and that.

Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;
