LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

GOD, come close. Come quickly! Open your ears--it's my voice you're hearing!

O LORD, I call to you; come quickly to me. Hear my voice when I call to you.

Ps.141.1

LORD, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You.

O LORD, I am calling to you. Please hurry! Listen when I cry to you for help!

Ps.141.2

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Ps.141.2

Treat my prayer as sweet incense rising; my raised hands are my evening prayers.

Ps.141.2

May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Ps.141.2

Accept my prayer as incense offered to you, and my upraised hands as an evening offering.

Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Post a guard at my mouth, GOD, set a watch at the door of my lips.

Ps.141.3

Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.

Ps.141.3

Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.

Ps.141.3

Take control of what I say, O LORD, and keep my lips sealed.

Ps.141.4

Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

Ps.141.4

Don't let me so much as dream of evil or thoughtlessly fall into bad company. And these people who only do wrong--don't let them lure me with their sweet talk!

Ps.141.4

Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers; let me not eat of their delicacies.

Ps.141.4

Do not incline my heart to any evil thing, To practice wicked works With men who work iniquity; And do not let me eat of their delicacies.

Ps.141.4

Don't let me lust for evil things; don't let me participate in acts of wickedness. Don't let me share in the delicacies of those who do evil.

Ps.141.5

Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Ps.141.5

May the Just One set me straight, may the Kind One correct me, Don't let sin anoint my head. I'm praying hard against their evil ways!

Let a righteous man strike me-it is a kindness; let him rebuke me-it is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it. Yet my prayer is ever against the deeds of evildoers;

Let the righteous strike me; It shall be a kindness. And let him rebuke me; It shall be as excellent oil; Let my head not refuse it. For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked.

Ps.141.5

Let the godly strike me! It will be a kindness! If they reprove me, it is soothing medicine. Don't let me refuse it. But I am in constant prayer against the wicked and their deeds.

When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

Oh, let their leaders be pushed off a high rock cliff; make them face the music.

their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs, and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken.

Ps.141.6

Their judges are overthrown by the sides of the cliff, And they hear my words, for they are sweet.

Ps.141.6

When their leaders are thrown down from a cliff, they will listen to my words and find them pleasing.

Ps.141.7

Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

Like a rock pulverized by a maul, let their bones be scattered at the gates of hell.

They will say, "As one plows and breaks up the earth, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave. "

Our bones are scattered at the mouth of the grave, As when one plows and breaks up the earth.

Ps.141.7

Even as a farmer breaks up the soil and brings up rocks, so the bones of the wicked will be scattered without a decent burial.

But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

Ps.141.8

But GOD, dear Lord, I only have eyes for you. Since I've run for dear life to you, take good care of me.

But my eyes are fixed on you, O Sovereign LORD; in you I take refuge-do not give me over to death.

Ps.141.8

But my eyes are upon You, O GOD the Lord; In You I take refuge; Do not leave my soul destitute.

Ps.141.8

I look to you for help, O Sovereign LORD. You are my refuge; don't let them kill me.

Ps.141.9

Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

Ps.141.9

Protect me from their evil scheming, from all their demonic subterfuge.

Ps.141.9

Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, from the traps set by evildoers.

Ps.141.9

Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, And from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

Ps.141.9

Keep me out of the traps they have set for me, out of the snares of those who do evil.

Ps.141.10

Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

Ps.141.10

Let the wicked fall flat on their faces, while I walk off without a scratch. A David prayer--when he was in the cave. he

Let the wicked fall into their own snares, but let me escape.
