I prayed, "GOD, you're my God! Listen, GOD! Mercy!

O LORD, I say to you, "You are my God." Hear, O LORD, my cry for mercy.

I said to the LORD: "You are my God; Hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.

Ps.140.6

I said to the LORD, "You are my God!" Listen, O LORD, to my cries for mercy!

GOD, my Lord, Strong Savior, protect me when the fighting breaks out!

Ps.140.7

O Sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle-

Ps.140.7

O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.

Ps.140.7

O Sovereign LORD, my strong savior, you protected me on the day of battle.

Ps.140.8

Don't let the wicked have their way, GOD, don't give them an inch!"

do not grant the wicked their desires, O LORD; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah

Do not grant, O LORD, the desires of the wicked; Do not further his wicked scheme, Lest they be exalted.Selah

Ps.140.8

LORD, do not give in to their evil desires. Do not let their evil schemes succeed, O God.

Ps.140.9

These troublemakers all around me--let them drown in their own verbal poison.

Ps.140.9

Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with the trouble their lips have caused.

Ps.140.9

"As for the head of those who surround me, Let the evil of their lips cover them;

Ps.140.9

Let my enemies be destroyed by the very evil they have planned for me.

Ps.140.10

Let God pile hellfire on them, let him bury them alive in crevasses!

Ps.140.10

Let burning coals fall upon them; may they be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, never to rise.

Ps.140.10

Let burning coals fall upon them; Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

Ps.140.10

Let burning coals fall down on their heads, or throw them into the fire, or into deep pits from which they can't escape.

Ps.140.11

These loudmouths--don't let them be taken seriously; These savages--let the Devil hunt them down!

Let slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down men of violence.

Ps.140.11

Let not a slanderer be established in the earth; Let evil hunt the violent man to overthrow him."

Ps.140.11

Don't let liars prosper here in our land. Cause disaster to fall with great force on the violent.

Ps.140.12

I know that you, GOD, are on the side of victims, that you care for the rights of the poor.

Ps.140.12

I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.

Ps.140.12

I know that the LORD will maintain The cause of the afflicted, And justice for the poor.

Ps.140.12

But I know the LORD will surely help those they persecute; he will maintain the rights of the poor.

Ps.140.13

And I know that the righteous personally thank you, that good people are secure in your presence.

Ps.140.13

Surely the righteous will praise your name and the upright will live before you.

Ps.140.13

Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence.

Ps.140.13

Surely the godly are praising your name, for they will live in your presence.
