Ps.14.1

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Ps.14.1

Bilious and bloated, they gas, "God is gone." Their words are poison gas, fouling the air; they poison Rivers and skies; thistles are their cash crop.

Ps.14.1

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.

Only fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; no one does good!

Ps.14.2

The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Ps.14.2

GOD sticks his head out of heaven. He looks around. He's looking for someone not stupid--one man, even, God--expectant, just one God--ready woman.

Ps.14.2

The LORD looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

Ps.14.2

The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

Ps.14.2

The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if there is even one with real understanding, one who seeks for God.

Ps.14.3

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Ps.14.3

He comes up empty. A string of zeros. Useless, unshepherded Sheep, taking turns pretending to be Shepherd. The ninety and nine follow their fellow.

All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.

Ps.14.3

But no, all have turned away from God; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not even one!

Ps.14.4

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

Ps.14.4

Don't they know anything, all these impostors? Don't they know they can't get away with this--Treating people like a fast-food meal over which they're too busy to pray?

Ps.14.4

Will evildoers never learn- those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on the LORD?

Ps.14.4

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call on the LORD?

Ps.14.4

Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread; they wouldn't think of praying to the LORD.

Ps.14.5

There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

Ps.14.5

Night is coming for them, and nightmares, for God takes the side of victims.

Ps.14.5

There they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.

Ps.14.5

There they are in great fear, For God is with the generation of the righteous.

Ps.14.5

Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him.

Ps.14.6

Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

Ps.14.6

Do you think you can mess with the dreams of the poor? You can't, for God makes their dreams come true.

Ps.14.6

You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge.

Ps.14.6

You shame the counsel of the poor, But the LORD is his refuge.

Ps.14.6

The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD will protect his people.

Ps.14.7

Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Ps.14.7

Is there anyone around to save Israel? Yes. God is around; GOD turns life around. Turned-around Jacob skips rope, turned-around Israel sings laughter.

Ps.14.7

Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

Ps.14.7

Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD brings back the captivity of His people, Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad.

Ps.14.7

Oh, that salvation would come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel! For when the LORD restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.
