Ps.106.1

Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Ps.106.1

Hallelujah! Thank GOD! And why? Because he's good, because his love lasts.

Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?

Ps.106.2

But who on earth can do it--declaim GOD's mighty acts, broadcast all his praises?

Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise?

Ps.106.2

Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can declare all His praise?

Ps.106.2

Who can list the glorious miracles of the LORD? Who can ever praise him half enough?

Ps.106.3

Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.

Ps.106.3

You're one happy man when you do what's right, one happy woman when you form the habit of justice.

Ps.106.3

Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right.

Ps.106.3

Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!

Ps.106.3

Happy are those who deal justly with others and always do what is right.

Ps.106.4

Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;

Ps.106.4

Remember me, GOD, when you enjoy your people; include me when you save them;

Ps.106.4

Remember me, O LORD, when you show favor to your people, come to my aid when you save them,

Ps.106.4

Remember me, O LORD, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation,

Ps.106.4

Remember me, too, LORD, when you show favor to your people; come to me with your salvation.

Ps.106.5

That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

Ps.106.5

I want to see your chosen succeed, celebrate with your celebrating nation, join the Hallelujahs of your pride and joy!

Ps.106.5

that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.

Ps.106.5

That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, That I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, That I may glory with Your inheritance.

Ps.106.5

Let me share in the prosperity of your chosen ones. Let me rejoice in the joy of your people; let me praise you with those who are your heritage.

Ps.106.6

We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

Ps.106.6

We've sinned a lot, both we and our parents; We've fallen short, hurt a lot of people.

We have sinned, even as our fathers did; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.

Both we and our ancestors have sinned. We have done wrong! We have acted wickedly!

Ps.106.7

Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.

After our parents left Egypt, they took your wonders for granted, forgot your great and wonderful love. They were barely beyond the Red Sea when they defied the High God

Ps.106.7

When our fathers were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.

Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; They did not remember the multitude of Your mercies, But rebelled by the sea--the Red Sea.

Our ancestors in Egypt were not impressed by the LORD's miracles. They soon forgot his many acts of kindness to them. Instead, they rebelled against him at the Red Sea.

Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

-the very place he saved them! -the place he revealed his amazing power!

Yet he saved them for his name's sake, to make his mighty power known.

Even so, he saved them--to defend the honor of his name and to demonstrate his mighty power.

He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.

He rebuked the Red Sea so that it dried up on the spot -he paraded them right through! -no one so much as got wet feet!

He commanded the Red Sea to divide, and a dry path appeared. He led Israel across the sea bottom that was as dry as a desert.

And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

He saved them from a life of oppression, pried them loose from the grip of the enemy.

He saved them from the hand of the foe; from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them.

He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, And redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

So he rescued them from their enemies and redeemed them from their foes.

And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.

Then the waters flowed back on their oppressors; there wasn't a single survivor.

Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

Then at last his people believed his promises. Then they finally sang his praise.

They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:

But it wasn't long before they forgot the whole thing, wouldn't wait to be told what to do.

Yet how quickly they forgot what he had done! They wouldn't wait for his counsel!

But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

They only cared about pleasing themselves in that desert, provoked God with their insistent demands.

In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wasteland they put God to the test.

In the wilderness, their desires ran wild, testing God's patience in that dry land.

And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

He gave them exactly what they asked for--but along with it they got an empty heart.
