It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine, Nor for princes intoxicating drink;

And it is not for kings, O Lemuel, to guzzle wine. Rulers should not crave liquor.

Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

Lest, hung over, they don't know right from wrong, and the people who depend on them are hurt.
