GOD spoke to Moses:

Num.15.1

The LORD said to Moses,

Num.15.1

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

Num.15.1

The LORD told Moses to give these instructions to the people of Israel:

Num.15.2

"Speak to the People of Israel. Tell them, When you enter your homeland that I am giving to you

Num.15.2

"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'After you enter the land I am giving you as a home

Num.15.2

"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: "When you have come into the land you are to inhabit, which I am giving to you,

Num.15.2

"When you finally settle in the land I am going to give you,

Num.15.3

and sacrifice a Fire-Gift to GOD, a Whole-Burnt-Offering or any sacrifice from the herd or flock for a Vow-Offering or Freewill-Offering at one of the appointed feasts, as a pleasing fragrance for GOD,

Num.15.3

and you present to the LORD offerings made by fire, from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD -whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings-

Num.15.3

and you make an offering by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering or in your appointed feasts, to make a sweet aroma to the LORD, from the herd or the flock,

Num.15.3

and you want to please the LORD with a burnt offering or any other offering given by fire, the sacrifice must be an animal from your flocks of sheep and goats or from your herds of cattle. When it is an ordinary burnt offering, a sacrifice to fulfill a vow, a freewill offering, or a special sacrifice at any of the annual festivals,

the one bringing the offering shall present to GOD a Grain-Offering of two quarts of fine flour mixed with a quart of oil.

Num.15.4

then the one who brings his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil.

Num.15.4

then he who presents his offering to the LORD shall bring a grain offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of oil;

Num.15.4

whoever brings it must also give to the LORD a grain offering of two quarts of choice flour mixed with one quart of olive oil.

Num.15.5

With each lamb for the Whole-Burnt-Offering or other sacrifice, prepare a quart of oil and a quart of wine as a Drink-Offering.

Num.15.5

With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.

Num.15.5

and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering you shall prepare with the burnt offering or the sacrifice, for each lamb.

Num.15.5

For each lamb offered as a whole burnt offering, you must also present one quart of wine for a drink offering.

Num.15.6

"For a ram prepare a Grain-Offering of four quarts of fine flour mixed with one and a quarter quarts of oil

Num.15.6

"'With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil,

Num.15.6

Or for a ram you shall prepare as a grain offering two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-third of a hin of oil;

Num.15.6

"If the sacrifice is a ram, give three quarts of choice flour mixed with two and a half pints of olive oil,

Num.15.7

and one and a quarter quarts of wine as a Drink-Offering. Present it as a pleasing fragrance to GOD.

Num.15.7

and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

Num.15.7

and as a drink offering you shall offer one-third of a hin of wine as a sweet aroma to the LORD.

Num.15.7

and give two and a half pints of wine for a drink offering. This sacrifice will be very pleasing to the LORD.

Num.15.8

"When you prepare a young bull as a Whole-Burnt-Offering or sacrifice for a special vow or a Peace-Offering to GOD,

Num.15.8

"'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD,

Num.15.8

And when you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering, or as a sacrifice to fulfill a vow, or as a peace offering to the LORD,

Num.15.8

"When you present a young bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice in fulfillment of a special vow or as a peace offering to the LORD,

Num.15.9

bring with the bull a Grain-Offering of six quarts of fine flour and two quarts of oil.

Num.15.9

bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil.

Num.15.9

then shall be offered with the young bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil;

Num.15.9

then the grain offering accompanying it must include five quarts of choice flour mixed with two quarts of olive oil,

Num.15.10

Also bring two quarts of wine as a Drink-Offering. It will be a Fire-Gift, a pleasing fragrance to GOD.

Num.15.10

Also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. It will be an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

Num.15.10

and you shall bring as the drink offering half a hin of wine as an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the LORD.

Num.15.10

plus two quarts of wine for the drink offering. This will be an offering made by fire, very pleasing to the LORD.

Num.15.11

"Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this same way.

Num.15.11

Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner.

Num.15.11

"Thus it shall be done for each young bull, for each ram, or for each lamb or young goat.

Num.15.11

"These are the instructions for what is to accompany each sacrificial bull, ram, lamb, or young goat.

Num.15.12

Carry out this procedure for each one, no matter how many you have to prepare.

Num.15.12

Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare.

Num.15.12

According to the number that you prepare, so you shall do with everyone according to their number.

Num.15.12

Each of you must do this with each offering you present.

Num.15.13

"Every native-born Israelite is to follow this procedure when he brings a Fire-Gift as a pleasing fragrance to GOD.

Num.15.13

"'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when he brings an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

Num.15.13

All who are native-born shall do these things in this manner, in presenting an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the LORD.

Num.15.13

If you native Israelites want to present an offering by fire that is pleasing to the LORD, you must follow all these instructions.

Num.15.14

In future generations, when a foreigner or visitor living at length among you presents a Fire-Gift as a pleasing fragrance to GOD, the same procedures must be followed.

Num.15.14

For the generations to come, whenever an alien or anyone else living among you presents an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he must do exactly as you do.

Num.15.14

And if a stranger dwells with you, or whoever is among you throughout your generations, and would present an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the LORD, just as you do, so shall he do.

Num.15.14

And if any foreigners living among you want to present an offering by fire, pleasing to the LORD, they must follow the same procedures.

Num.15.15

The community has the same rules for you and the foreigner living among you. This is the regular rule for future generations. You and the foreigner are the same before GOD.

Num.15.15

The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD:

Num.15.15

One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly and for the stranger who dwells with you, an ordinance forever throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.

Num.15.15

Native Israelites and foreigners are the same before the LORD and are subject to the same laws. This is a permanent law for you.

Num.15.16

The same laws and regulations apply to both you and the foreigner who lives with you."

Num.15.16

The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.'"

Num.15.16

One law and one custom shall be for you and for the stranger who dwells with you."'

Num.15.16

The same instructions and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigners living among you."

Num.15.17

GOD spoke to Moses:

The LORD said to Moses,

Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

The LORD also said to Moses at this time,

Num.15.18

"Speak to the People of Israel. Tell them, When you enter the land into which I'm bringing you,

Num.15.18

"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you

Num.15.18

"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: "When you come into the land to which I bring you,

Num.15.18

"Give the people of Israel the following instructions: When you arrive in the land where I am taking you,

Num.15.19

and you eat the food of that country, set some aside as an offering for GOD.

Num.15.19

and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD.

Num.15.19

then it will be, when you eat of the bread of the land, that you shall offer up a heave offering to the LORD.

Num.15.19

you will eat from the crops that grow there. But you must set some aside as a gift to the LORD.

Num.15.20

From the first batch of bread dough make a round loaf for an offering--an offering from the threshing floor.

Num.15.20

Present a cake from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.

Num.15.20

You shall offer up a cake of the first of your ground meal as a heave offering; as a heave offering of the threshing floor, so shall you offer it up.

Num.15.20

Present a cake from the first of the flour you grind and set it aside as a gift, as you do with the first grain from the threshing floor.

Num.15.21

Down through the future generations make this offering to GOD from each first batch of dough. [JC]

Num.15.21

Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal.

Num.15.21

Of the first of your ground meal you shall give to the LORD a heave offering throughout your generations.

Num.15.21

Throughout the generations to come, you are to present this offering to the LORD each year from the first of your ground flour.

Num.15.22

"But if you should get off the beaten track and not keep the commands which GOD spoke to Moses,

Num.15.22

"'Now if you unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses-

Num.15.22

"If you sin unintentionally, and do not observe all these commandments which the LORD has spoken to Moses--

Num.15.22

"But suppose some of you unintentionally fail to carry out all these commands that the LORD has given you through Moses.

Num.15.23

any of the things that GOD commanded you under the authority of Moses from the time that GOD first commanded you right up to this present time,

Num.15.23

any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come-

Num.15.23

all that the LORD has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day the LORD gave commandment and onward throughout your generations--

Num.15.23

And suppose some of your descendants in the future fail to do everything the LORD has commanded through Moses.

Num.15.24

and if it happened more or less by mistake, with the congregation unaware of it, then the whole congregation is to sacrifice one young bull as a Whole-Burnt-Offering, a pleasing fragrance to GOD, accompanied by its Grain-Offering and Drink-Offering as stipulated in the rules, and a he-goat as an Absolution-Offering.

Num.15.24

and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering.

Num.15.24

then it will be, if it is unintentionally committed, without the knowledge of the congregation, that the whole congregation shall offer one young bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma to the LORD, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats as a sin offering.

Num.15.24

If the mistake was done unintentionally, and the community was unaware of it, the whole community must present a young bull for a burnt offering. It will be pleasing to the LORD, and it must be offered along with the prescribed grain offering and drink offering and with one male goat for a sin offering.

Num.15.25

The priest is to atone for the entire community of the People of Israel and they will stand forgiven. The sin was not deliberate, and they offered to GOD the Fire-Gift and Absolution-Offering for their inadvertence.

Num.15.25

The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have brought to the LORD for their wrong an offering made by fire and a sin offering.

Num.15.25

So the priest shall make atonement for the whole congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them, for it was unintentional; they shall bring their offering, an offering made by fire to the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their unintended sin.

Num.15.25

With it the priest will make atonement for the whole community of Israel, and they will be forgiven. For it was an unintentional sin, and they have corrected it with their offering given to the LORD by fire and by their sin offering.

Num.15.26

The whole community of Israel including the foreigners living there will be absolved, because everyone was involved in the error.

Num.15.26

The whole Israelite community and the aliens living among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.

Num.15.26

It shall be forgiven the whole congregation of the children of Israel and the stranger who dwells among them, because all the people did it unintentionally.

Num.15.26

The whole community of Israel will be forgiven, including the foreigners living among you, for the entire population was involved in the sin.

Num.15.27

"But if it's just one person who sins by mistake, not realizing what he's doing, he is to bring a yearling she-goat as an Absolution-Offering.

Num.15.27

"'But if just one person sins unintentionally, he must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.

Num.15.27

"And if a person sins unintentionally, then he shall bring a female goat in its first year as a sin offering.

Num.15.27

"If the unintentional sin is committed by an individual, the guilty person must bring a one-year-old female goat for a sin offering.

Num.15.28

The priest then is to atone for the person who accidentally sinned, to make atonement before GOD so that it won't be held against him.

Num.15.28

The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.

Num.15.28

So the priest shall make atonement for the person who sins unintentionally, when he sins unintentionally before the LORD, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

Num.15.28

The priest will make atonement for the guilty person before the LORD, and that person will be forgiven.

Num.15.29

"The same standard holds for everyone who sins by mistake; the native-born Israelites and the foreigners go by the same rules.

Num.15.29

One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether he is a native-born Israelite or an alien.

Num.15.29

You shall have one law for him who sins unintentionally, for him who is native-born among the children of Israel and for the stranger who dwells among them.

Num.15.29

This same law applies both to native Israelites and the foreigners living among you.

Num.15.30

"But the person, native or foreigner, who sins defiantly, deliberately blaspheming GOD, must be cut off from his people:

Num.15.30

"'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the LORD, and that person must be cut off from his people.

Num.15.30

"But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one brings reproach on the LORD, and he shall be cut off from among his people.

Num.15.30

"But those who brazenly violate the LORD's will, whether native Israelites or foreigners, blaspheme the LORD, and they must be cut off from the community.

Num.15.31

He has despised GOD's word, he has violated GOD's command; that person must be kicked out of the community, ostracized, left alone in his wrongdoing." [JC]

Num.15.31

Because he has despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, that person must surely be cut off; his guilt remains on him.'"

Num.15.31

Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt shall be upon him."'

Num.15.31

Since they have treated the LORD's word with contempt and deliberately disobeyed his commands, they must be completely cut off and suffer the consequences of their guilt."

Num.15.32

Once, during those wilderness years of the People of Israel, a man was caught gathering wood on the Sabbath.

Num.15.32

While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

Num.15.32

Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.

Num.15.32

One day while the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they caught a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day.

Num.15.33

The ones who caught him hauled him before Moses and Aaron and the entire congregation.

Num.15.33

Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly,

Num.15.33

And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.

Num.15.33

He was apprehended and taken before Moses, Aaron, and the rest of the community.

Num.15.34

They put him in custody until it became clear what to do with him.

Num.15.34

and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.

Num.15.34

They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.

Num.15.34

They held him in custody because they did not know what to do with him.

Num.15.35

Then GOD spoke to Moses: "Give the man the death penalty. Yes, kill him, the whole community hurling stones at him outside the camp."

Num.15.35

Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp."

Num.15.35

Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp."

Num.15.35

Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must be put to death! The whole community must stone him outside the camp."

Num.15.36

So the whole community took him outside the camp and threw stones at him, an execution commanded by GOD and given through Moses. [JC]

Num.15.36

So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Num.15.36

So, as the LORD commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.

Num.15.36

So the whole community took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

Num.15.37

GOD spoke to Moses:

The LORD said to Moses,

Num.15.37

Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

Num.15.37

And the LORD said to Moses,

Num.15.38

"Speak to the People of Israel. Tell them that from now on they are to make tassels on the corners of their garments and to mark each corner tassel with a blue thread.

Num.15.38

"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.

Num.15.38

"Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners.

Num.15.38

"Say to the people of Israel: `Throughout the generations to come you must make tassels for the hems of your clothing and attach the tassels at each corner with a blue cord.

Num.15.39

When you look at these tassels you'll remember and keep all the commandments of GOD, and not get distracted by everything you feel or see that seduces you into infidelities.

Num.15.39

You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.

Num.15.39

And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the LORD and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined,

Num.15.39

The tassels will remind you of the commands of the LORD, and that you are to obey his commands instead of following your own desires and going your own ways, as you are prone to do.

Num.15.40

The tassels will signal remembrance and observance of all my commandments, to live a holy life to GOD.

Num.15.40

Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.

Num.15.40

and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.

Num.15.40

The tassels will help you remember that you must obey all my commands and be holy to your God.

Num.15.41

I am your GOD who rescued you from the land of Egypt to be your personal God. Yes, I am GOD, your God."

Num.15.41

I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.'"

Num.15.41

I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God."

Num.15.41

I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt that I might be your God. I am the LORD your God!'"

Num.16.1

Getting on his high horse one day, Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, along with a few Reubenites--Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth--

Num.16.1

Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites-Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth-became insolent

Num.16.1

Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men;

Num.16.1

One day Korah son of Izhar, a descendant of Kohath son of Levi, conspired with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth, from the tribe of Reuben.

Num.16.2

rebelled against Moses. He had with him 250 leaders of the congregation of Israel, prominent men with positions in the Council.

Num.16.2

and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council.

Num.16.2

and they rose up before Moses with some of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, representatives of the congregation, men of renown.

Num.16.2

They incited a rebellion against Moses, involving 250 other prominent leaders, all members of the assembly.

Num.16.3

They came as a group and confronted Moses and Aaron, saying, "You've overstepped yourself. This entire community is holy and GOD is in their midst. So why do you act like you're running the whole show?"

Num.16.3

They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, "You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the LORD's assembly?"

Num.16.3

They gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "You take too much upon yourselves, for all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?"

Num.16.3

They went to Moses and Aaron and said, "You have gone too far! Everyone in Israel has been set apart by the LORD, and he is with all of us. What right do you have to act as though you are greater than anyone else among all these people of the LORD?"

Num.16.4

On hearing this, Moses threw himself facedown on the ground.

Num.16.4

When Moses heard this, he fell facedown.

Num.16.4

So when Moses heard it, he fell on his face;

Num.16.4

When Moses heard what they were saying, he threw himself down with his face to the ground.

Num.16.5

Then he addressed Korah and his gang: "In the morning GOD will make clear who is on his side, who is holy. GOD will take his stand with the one he chooses.

Num.16.5

Then he said to Korah and all his followers: "In the morning the LORD will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him. The man he chooses he will cause to come near him.

Num.16.5

and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, "Tomorrow morning the LORD will show who is His and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to Him. That one whom He chooses He will cause to come near to Him.

Num.16.5

Then he said to Korah and his followers, "Tomorrow morning the LORD will show us who belongs to him and who is holy. The LORD will allow those who are chosen to enter his holy presence.

Num.16.6

"Now, Korah, here's what I want you, you and your gang, to do: Tomorrow, take censers.

Num.16.6

You, Korah, and all your followers are to do this: Take censers

Num.16.6

Do this: Take censers, Korah and all your company;

Num.16.6

You, Korah, and all your followers must do this: Take incense burners,

Num.16.7

In the presence of GOD, put fire in them and then incense. Then we'll see who is holy, see whom GOD chooses. Sons of Levi, you've overstepped yourselves!"

Num.16.7

and tomorrow put fire and incense in them before the LORD. The man the LORD chooses will be the one who is holy. You Levites have gone too far!"

Num.16.7

put fire in them and put incense in them before the LORD tomorrow, and it shall be that the man whom the LORD chooses is the holy one. You take too much upon yourselves, you sons of Levi!"

Num.16.7

and burn incense in them tomorrow before the LORD. Then we will see whom the LORD chooses as his holy one. You Levites are the ones who have gone too far!"

Num.16.8

Moses continued with Korah, "Listen well now, sons of Levi.

Num.16.8

Moses also said to Korah, "Now listen, you Levites!

Num.16.8

Then Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi:

Num.16.8

Then Moses spoke again to Korah: "Now listen, you Levites!

Num.16.9

Isn't it enough for you that the God of Israel has selected you out of the congregation of Israel to bring you near him to serve in the ministries of The Dwelling of GOD, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them?

Num.16.9

Isn't it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the LORD's tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them?

Num.16.9

Is it a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to do the work of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to serve them;

Num.16.9

Does it seem a small thing to you that the God of Israel has chosen you from among all the people of Israel to be near him as you serve in the LORD's Tabernacle and to stand before the people to minister to them?

Num.16.10

He has brought you and all your brother Levites into his inner circle, and now you're grasping for the priesthood too.

Num.16.10

He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself, but now you are trying to get the priesthood too.

Num.16.10

and that He has brought you near to Himself, you and all your brethren, the sons of Levi, with you? And are you seeking the priesthood also?

Num.16.10

He has given this special ministry only to you and your fellow Levites, but now you are demanding the priesthood as well!

Num.16.11

It's GOD you've ganged up against, not us. What do you have against Aaron that you're bad-mouthing him?"

Num.16.11

It is against the LORD that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?"

Num.16.11

Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the LORD. And what is Aaron that you complain against him?"

Num.16.11

The one you are really revolting against is the LORD! And who is Aaron that you are complaining about him?"

Moses then ordered Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, to appear, but they said, "We're not coming.

When Korah had gathered all his followers in opposition to them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the glory of the LORD appeared to the entire assembly.

Meanwhile, Korah had stirred up the entire community against Moses and Aaron, and they all assembled at the Tabernacle entrance. Then the glorious presence of the LORD appeared to the whole community,

"Separate yourselves from this congregation so that I can finish them off and be done with them."

"Get away from these people so that I may instantly destroy them!"

They threw themselves on their faces and said, "O God, God of everything living, when one man sins are you going to take it out on the whole community?"

But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out, "O God, God of the spirits of all mankind, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?"

Then they fell on their faces, and said, "O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and You be angry with all the congregation?"

But Moses and Aaron fell face down on the ground. "O God, the God and source of all life," they pleaded. "Must you be angry with all the people when only one man sins?"

GOD spoke to Moses:

Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram. The leaders of Israel followed him.

"Quick!" he told the people. "Get away from the tents of these wicked men, and don't touch anything that belongs to them. If you do, you will be destroyed for their sins."

So they all backed away from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram by now had come out and were standing at the entrance to their tents with their wives, children, and babies.

Moses continued to address the community: "This is how you'll know that it was GOD who sent me to do all these things and that it wasn't anything I cooked up on my own.

Then Moses said, "This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea:

And Moses said: "By this you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will.

And Moses said, "By this you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things that I have done--for I have not done them on my own.

If these men die a natural death like all the rest of us, you'll know that it wasn't GOD who sent me.

He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
