For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

Matt.25.15

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

Matt.25.16

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

Matt.25.16

Right off, the first servant went to work and doubled his master's investment.

Matt.25.16

Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.

Matt.25.16

The servant who received the five bags of gold began immediately to invest the money and soon doubled it.

Matt.25.17

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

Matt.25.17

The second did the same.

Matt.25.17

So also, the one with the two talents gained two more.

Matt.25.17

And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.

Matt.25.17

The servant with two bags of gold also went right to work and doubled the money.

Matt.25.18

But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

Matt.25.20

His master commended him: "Good work! You did your job well. From now on be my partner.'

Matt.25.21

His lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

Matt.25.22

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

Matt.25.24

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

Matt.25.24

"The servant given one thousand said, "Master, I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that you demand the best and make no allowances for error.

Matt.25.24

"Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

Matt.25.24

"Then he who had received the one talent came and said, "Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

Matt.25.24

"Then the servant with the one bag of gold came and said, 'Sir, I know you are a hard man, harvesting crops you didn't plant and gathering crops you didn't cultivate.

Matt.25.25

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

Matt.25.25

I was afraid I might disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured your money. Here it is, safe and sound down to the last cent.'

Matt.25.25

So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'

Matt.25.25

And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.'

Matt.25.25

I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth and here it is.'

Matt.25.26

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

Matt.25.26

"The master was furious. "That's a terrible way to live! It's criminal to live cautiously like that! If you knew I was after the best, why did you do less than the least?

Matt.25.26

"His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?

Matt.25.26

"But his lord answered and said to him, "You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.

Matt.25.26

"But the master replied, 'You wicked and lazy servant! You think I'm a hard man, do you, harvesting crops I didn't plant and gathering crops I didn't cultivate?

Matt.25.27

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

Matt.25.27

The least you could have done would have been to invest the sum with the bankers, where at least I would have gotten a little interest.

Matt.25.27

Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

Matt.25.27

So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.

Matt.25.27

Well, you should at least have put my money into the bank so I could have some interest.

Matt.25.28

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Matt.25.28

Take the thousand and give it to the one who risked the most. And get rid of this "play-it-safe" who won't go out on a limb.

Matt.25.28

"'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents.

Matt.25.28

So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

Matt.25.28

Take the money from this servant and give it to the one with the ten bags of gold.

Matt.25.29

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Matt.25.29

Throw him out into utter darkness.'

Matt.25.29

For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

Matt.25.29

"For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

Matt.25.29

To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who are unfaithful, even what little they have will be taken away.

Matt.25.30

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matt.25.30

"When he finally arrives, blazing in beauty and all his angels with him, the Son of Man will take his place on his glorious throne.

Matt.25.30

And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

Matt.25.30

And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

Matt.25.30

Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

Matt.25.31

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Matt.25.31

Then all the nations will be arranged before him and he will sort the people out, much as a shepherd sorts out sheep and goats,

Matt.25.31

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory.

Matt.25.31

"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

Matt.25.31

"But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.

Matt.25.32

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

Matt.25.32

putting sheep to his right and goats to his left.

Matt.25.32

All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Matt.25.32

All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.

Matt.25.32

All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate them as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Matt.25.33

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Matt.25.33

"Then the King will say to those on his right, "Enter, you who are blessed by my Father! Take what's coming to you in this kingdom. It's been ready for you since the world's foundation.

Matt.25.33

He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Matt.25.33

And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

Matt.25.33

He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.

Matt.25.34

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Matt.25.34

And here's why: I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me a drink, I was homeless and you gave me a room,

Matt.25.34

"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

Matt.25.34

Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Matt.25.34

Then the King will say to those on the right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Matt.25.35

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Matt.25.35

I was shivering and you gave me clothes, I was sick and you stopped to visit, I was in prison and you came to me.'

Matt.25.35

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

Matt.25.35

for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;

Matt.25.35

For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.

Matt.25.36

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Matt.25.36

"Then those "sheep' are going to say, "Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink?

Matt.25.36

I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

Matt.25.36

I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'

Matt.25.36

I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.'

Matt.25.37

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Matt.25.37

And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?'

Matt.25.37

"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

Matt.25.37

"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?

Matt.25.37

"Then these righteous ones will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?

Matt.25.38

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Matt.25.38

Then the King will say, "I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me--you did it to me.'

Matt.25.38

When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?

Matt.25.38

When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?

Matt.25.38

Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing?

Matt.25.39

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

Matt.25.39

"Then he will turn to the "goats,' the ones on his left, and say, "Get out, worthless goats! You're good for nothing but the fires of hell.

Matt.25.39

When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

Matt.25.39

Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

Matt.25.39

When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?'

Matt.25.40

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Matt.25.40

And why? Because--I was hungry and you gave me no meal, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,

Matt.25.40

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Matt.25.40

And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

Matt.25.40

And the King will tell them, 'I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'

Matt.25.41

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matt.25.41

I was homeless and you gave me no bed, I was shivering and you gave me no clothes, Sick and in prison, and you never visited.'

Matt.25.41

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Matt.25.41

"Then He will also say to those on the left hand, "Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matt.25.41

"Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, 'Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his demons!

Matt.25.42

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

Matt.25.42

"Then those "goats' are going to say, "Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or homeless or shivering or sick or in prison and didn't help?'

Matt.25.42

For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,

Matt.25.42

for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;

Matt.25.42

For I was hungry, and you didn't feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn't give me anything to drink.

Matt.25.43

I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Matt.25.43

"He will answer them, "I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you failed to do one of these things to someone who was being overlooked or ignored, that was me--you failed to do it to me.'

Matt.25.43

I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

Matt.25.43

I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'

Matt.25.43

I was a stranger, and you didn't invite me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me no clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn't visit me.'

Matt.25.44

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Matt.25.44

"Then those "goats' will be herded to their eternal doom, but the "sheep' to their eternal reward."

Matt.25.44

"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

Matt.25.44

"Then they also will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?'

Matt.25.44

"Then they will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?'

Matt.25.45

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Matt.25.45

"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

Matt.25.45

"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

Matt.25.45

Then He will answer them, saying, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

Matt.25.45

And he will answer, 'I assure you, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.'

Matt.25.46

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matt.25.46

"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Matt.25.46

"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Matt.25.46

And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Matt.25.46

And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life."
