And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

Mary didn't waste a minute. She got up and traveled to a town in Judah in the hill country,

At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea,

And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby in her womb leaped. She was filled with the Holy Spirit,

At the sound of Mary's greeting, Elizabeth's child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

and sang out exuberantly, You're so blessed among women, and the babe in your womb, also blessed!

In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!

Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, "You are blessed by God above all other women, and your child is blessed.

And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

And why am I so blessed that the mother of my Lord visits me?

Luke.1.43

But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Luke.1.43

What an honor this is, that the mother of my Lord should visit me!

Luke.1.44

For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

The moment the sound of your greeting entered my ears, The babe in my womb skipped like a lamb for sheer joy.

As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

When you came in and greeted me, my baby jumped for joy the instant I heard your voice!

And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

Blessed woman, who believed what God said, believed every word would come true!

Luke.1.45

Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!"

Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord."

You are blessed, because you believed that the Lord would do what he said."

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

Luke.1.46

And Mary said, I'm bursting with God-news;

Luke.1.46

And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord

Luke.1.46

And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord,

Luke.1.46

Mary responded, "Oh, how I praise the Lord.

Luke.1.47

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Luke.1.47

I'm dancing the song of my Savior God.

Luke.1.47

and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

Luke.1.47

And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

Luke.1.47

How I rejoice in God my Savior!

Luke.1.48

For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Luke.1.48

God took one good look at me, and look what happened--I'm the most fortunate woman on earth! What God has done for me will never be forgotten,

for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed,

For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.

For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and now generation after generation will call me blessed.

Luke.1.49

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

Luke.1.49

the God whose very name is holy, set apart from all others.

for the Mighty One has done great things for me--holy is his name.

Luke.1.49

For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name.

Luke.1.49

For he, the Mighty One, is holy, and he has done great things for me.

Luke.1.50

And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

Luke.1.50

His mercy flows in wave after wave on those who are in awe before him.

Luke.1.50

His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.

Luke.1.50

And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation.

Luke.1.50

His mercy goes on from generation to generation, to all who fear him.

Luke.1.51

He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

Luke.1.51

He bared his arm and showed his strength, scattered the bluffing braggarts.

Luke.1.51

He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.

Luke.1.51

He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

Luke.1.51

His mighty arm does tremendous things! How he scatters the proud and haughty ones!

Luke.1.52

He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

Luke.1.52

He knocked tyrants off their high horses, pulled victims out of the mud.

Luke.1.52

He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.

Luke.1.52

He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly.

Luke.1.52

He has taken princes from their thrones and exalted the lowly.

Luke.1.53

He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

Luke.1.53

The starving poor sat down to a banquet; the callous rich were left out in the cold.

He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.

He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty.

He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands.

He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;

He embraced his chosen child, Israel; he remembered and piled on the mercies, piled them high.

He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful

Luke.1.54

He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy,

Luke.1.54

And how he has helped his servant Israel! He has not forgotten his promise to be merciful.

As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

It's exactly what he promised, beginning with Abraham and right up to now.

to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers."

For he promised our ancestors--Abraham and his children--to be merciful to them forever."

And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
