The LORD said to Moses,

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

And the LORD said to Moses,

Lev.14.2

"These are the instructions for the infected person at the time of his cleansing. First, bring him to the priest.

Lev.14.2

"These are the regulations for the diseased person at the time of his ceremonial cleansing, when he is brought to the priest:

Lev.14.2

"This shall be the law of the leper for the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest.

Lev.14.2

"The following instructions must be followed by those seeking purification from a contagious skin disease. Those who have been healed must be brought to the priest,

Lev.14.3

The priest will take him outside the camp and make an examination; if the infected person has been healed of the serious skin disease,

Lev.14.3

The priest is to go outside the camp and examine him. If the person has been healed of his infectious skin disease,

Lev.14.3

And the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall examine him; and indeed, if the leprosy is healed in the leper,

Lev.14.3

who will examine them at a place outside the camp. If the priest finds that someone has been healed of the skin disease,

Lev.14.4

the priest will order two live, clean birds, some cedar wood, scarlet thread, and hyssop to be brought for the one to be cleansed.

the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop be brought for the one to be cleansed.

then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop.

he will perform a purification ceremony, using two wild birds of a kind permitted for food, along with some cedarwood, a scarlet cloth, and a hyssop branch.

The priest will order him to kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot.

Lev.14.5

Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot.

Lev.14.5

And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water.

Lev.14.5

The priest will order one of the birds to be slaughtered over a clay pot that is filled with fresh springwater.

Lev.14.6

The priest will then take the live bird with the cedar wood, the scarlet thread, and the hyssop and dip them in the blood of the dead bird over fresh water

Lev.14.6

He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.

As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water.

Lev.14.6

He will then dip the living bird, along with the cedarwood, the scarlet cloth, and the hyssop branch, into the blood of the slaughtered bird.

and then sprinkle the person being cleansed from the serious skin disease seven times and pronounce him clean. Finally, he will release the live bird in the open field.

Seven times he shall sprinkle the one to be cleansed of the infectious disease and pronounce him clean. Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields.

And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field.

The priest will also sprinkle the dead bird's blood seven times over the person being purified, and the priest will pronounce that person to be ceremonially clean. At the end of the ceremony, the priest will set the living bird free so it can fly away into the open fields.

The cleansed person, after washing his clothes, shaving off all his hair, and bathing with water, is clean. Afterwards he may again enter the camp, but he has to live outside his tent for seven days.

"The person to be cleansed must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair and bathe with water; then he will be ceremonially clean. After this he may come into the camp, but he must stay outside his tent for seven days.

He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, and shall stay outside his tent seven days.

"The people being purified must complete the cleansing ceremony by washing their clothes, shaving off all their hair, and bathing themselves in water. Then they will be ceremonially clean and may return to live inside the camp. However, they must still remain outside their tents for seven days.

Lev.14.9

On the seventh day, he must shave off all his hair--from his head, beard, eyebrows, all of it. He then must wash his clothes and bathe all over with water. He will be clean.

On the seventh day he must shave off all his hair; he must shave his head, his beard, his eyebrows and the rest of his hair. He must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water, and he will be clean.

But on the seventh day he shall shave all the hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows--all his hair he shall shave off. He shall wash his clothes and wash his body in water, and he shall be clean.

On the seventh day, they must again shave off all their hair, including the hair of the beard and eyebrows, and wash their clothes and bathe themselves in water. Then they will be pronounced ceremonially clean.

"The next day, the eighth day, he will bring two lambs without defect and a yearling ewe without defect, along with roughly six quarts of fine flour mixed with oil.

"On the eighth day he must bring two male lambs and one ewe lamb a year old, each without defect, along with three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and one log of oil.

"And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and one log of oil.

"On the next day, the eighth day, each person cured of the skin disease must bring two male lambs and one female year-old lamb with no physical defects, along with five quarts of choice flour mixed with olive oil and three-fifths of a pint of olive oil.

The priest who pronounces him clean will place him and the materials for his offerings in the presence of GOD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

The priest who pronounces him clean shall present both the one to be cleansed and his offerings before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

Then the priest who makes him clean shall present the man who is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

Then the officiating priest will present that person for cleansing, along with the offerings, before the LORD at the entrance of the Tabernacle.

Lev.14.12

The priest will take one of the lambs and present it and the pint of oil as a Compensation-Offering and lift them up as a Wave-Offering before GOD.

"Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and offer it as a guilt offering, along with the log of oil; he shall wave them before the LORD as a wave offering.

And the priest shall take one male lamb and offer it as a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.

The priest will take one of the lambs and the olive oil and offer them as a guilt offering by lifting them up before the LORD.

Lev.14.13

He will slaughter the lamb in the place where the Absolution-Offering and the Whole-Burnt-Offering are slaughtered, in the Holy Place, because like the Absolution-Offering, the Compensation-Offering belongs to the priest; it is most holy.

He is to slaughter the lamb in the holy place where the sin offering and the burnt offering are slaughtered. Like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest; it is most holy.

Lev.14.13

Then he shall kill the lamb in the place where he kills the sin offering and the burnt offering, in a holy place; for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering. It is most holy.

He will then slaughter the lamb there in the sacred area at the place where sin offerings and burnt offerings are slaughtered. As with the sin offering, the guilt offering will be given to the priest. It is a most holy offering.

The priest will now take some of the blood of the Compensation-Offering and put it on the right earlobe of the man being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

The priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

The priest will then take some of the blood from the guilt offering and put it on the tip of the healed person's right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot.

Following that he will take some oil and pour it into the palm of his left hand

The priest shall then take some of the log of oil, pour it in the palm of his own left hand,

And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.

"Then the priest will pour some of the olive oil into the palm of his own left hand.

Lev.14.16

and then with the finger of his right hand sprinkle oil seven times before GOD.

Lev.14.16

dip his right forefinger into the oil in his palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of it before the LORD seven times.

Lev.14.16

Then the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD.

Lev.14.16

He will dip his right finger into the oil and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD.

Lev.14.17

The priest will put some of the remaining oil on the right earlobe of the one being cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, placing it on top of the blood of the Compensation-Offering.

The priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.

And of the rest of the oil in his hand, the priest shall put some on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the trespass offering.

The priest will then put some of the oil remaining in his left hand on the tip of the healed person's right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot, in addition to the blood of the guilt offering.

He will put the rest of the oil on the head of the man being cleansed and make atonement for him before GOD.

The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed and make atonement for him before the LORD.

Lev.14.18

The rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed. So the priest shall make atonement for him before the LORD.

Lev.14.18

The oil remaining in the priest's hand will then be poured over the healed person's head. In this way, the priest will make atonement before the LORD for the person being cleansed.

"Finally the priest will sacrifice the Absolution-Offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from his uncleanness, slaughter the Whole-Burnt-Offering

"Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from his uncleanness. After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering

"Then the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed from his uncleanness. Afterward he shall kill the burnt offering.

"Then the priest must offer the sin offering and again perform the atonement ceremony for the person cured of the skin disease. After that, the priest will slaughter the whole burnt offering

and offer it with the Grain-Offering on the Altar. He has made atonement for him. He is clean.

and offer it on the altar, together with the grain offering, and make atonement for him, and he will be clean.

Lev.14.20

And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. So the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

and offer it on the altar along with the grain offering. In this way, the priest will make atonement for the person being cleansed, and the healed person will be ceremonially clean.

"If he is poor and cannot afford these offerings, he will bring one male lamb as a Compensation-Offering to be offered as a Wave-Offering to make atonement for him, and with it a couple of quarts of fine flour mixed with oil for a Grain-Offering, a pint of oil,

"If, however, he is poor and cannot afford these, he must take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make atonement for him, together with a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, a log of oil,

"But if he is poor and cannot afford it, then he shall take one male lamb as a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, a log of oil,

"But anyone who cannot afford two lambs must bring one male lamb for a guilt offering, along with two quarts of choice flour mixed with olive oil as a grain offering and three-fifths of a pint of olive oil. The guilt offering will be presented by lifting it up, thus making atonement for the person being cleansed.

and two doves or pigeons which he can afford, one for an Absolution-Offering and the other for a Whole-Burnt-Offering.

and two doves or two young pigeons, which he can afford, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.

and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford: one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.

The person being cleansed must also bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whichever the person can afford. One of the pair must be used for a sin offering and the other for a whole burnt offering.

"On the eighth day he will bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the presence of GOD.

"On the eighth day he must bring them for his cleansing to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, before the LORD.

He shall bring them to the priest on the eighth day for his cleansing, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, before the LORD.

On the eighth day, the person being cleansed must bring the offerings to the priest for the cleansing ceremony to be performed in the LORD's presence at the Tabernacle entrance.

Lev.14.24

The priest will take the lamb for the Compensation-Offering together with the pint of oil and wave them before GOD as a Wave-Offering.

The priest is to take the lamb for the guilt offering, together with the log of oil, and wave them before the LORD as a wave offering.

And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.

The priest will take the lamb for the guilt offering, along with the olive oil, and lift them up before the LORD as an offering to him.

He will slaughter the lamb for the Compensation-Offering, take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

He shall slaughter the lamb for the guilt offering and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

Then he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering and put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

Then the priest will slaughter the lamb for the guilt offering and put some of its blood on the tip of the person's right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot.

The priest will pour some of the oil into the palm of his left hand,

The priest is to pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,

Lev.14.26

And the priest shall pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand.

"The priest will also pour some of the olive oil into the palm of his own left hand.

Lev.14.27

and with his right finger sprinkle some of the oil from his palm seven times before GOD.

Lev.14.27

and with his right forefinger sprinkle some of the oil from his palm seven times before the LORD.

Lev.14.27

Then the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD.

Lev.14.27

He will dip his right finger into the oil and sprinkle some of it seven times before the LORD.

Lev.14.28

He will put some of the oil that is in his palm on the same places he put the blood of the Compensation-Offering, on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

Some of the oil in his palm he is to put on the same places he put the blood of the guilt offering-on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

And the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the trespass offering.

The priest will then put some of the olive oil from his hand on the lobe of the person's right ear, on the thumb of the right hand, and on the big toe of the right foot, in addition to the blood of the guilt offering.

The priest will take what is left of the oil in his palm and put it on the head of the one to be cleansed, making atonement for him before GOD.

The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the LORD.

The rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the LORD.

The oil that is still in the priest's hand will then be poured over the person's head. In this way, the priest will make atonement for the person being cleansed.

"At the last, he will sacrifice the doves or pigeons which are within his means,

Then he shall sacrifice the doves or the young pigeons, which the person can afford,

Lev.14.30

And he shall offer one of the turtledoves or young pigeons, such as he can afford--

"Then the priest will offer the two turtledoves or the two young pigeons, whichever the person was able to afford.

one as an Absolution-Offering and the other as a Whole-Burnt-Offering along with the Grain-Offering. Following this procedure the priest will make atonement for the one to be cleansed before GOD."

And the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

"When you enter the land of Canaan, which I'm giving to you as a possession, and I put a serious fungus in a house in the land of your possession,

Lev.14.34

"When you enter the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, and I put a spreading mildew in a house in that land,

Lev.14.34

"When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give you as a possession, and I put the leprous plague in a house in the land of your possession,

Lev.14.34

"When you arrive in Canaan, the land I am giving you as an inheritance, I may contaminate some of your houses with an infectious mildew.

Lev.14.35

the householder is to go and tell the priest, "I have some kind of fungus in my house.'

Lev.14.35

the owner of the house must go and tell the priest, 'I have seen something that looks like mildew in my house.'

Lev.14.35

and he who owns the house comes and tells the priest, saying, "It seems to me that there is some plague in the house,'

Lev.14.35

The owner of such a house must then go to the priest and say, `It looks like my house has some kind of disease.'

Lev.14.36

The priest is to order the house vacated until he can come to examine the fungus, so that nothing in the house is declared unclean.

Lev.14.36

The priest is to order the house to be emptied before he goes in to examine the mildew, so that nothing in the house will be pronounced unclean. After this the priest is to go in and inspect the house.

then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest goes into it to examine the plague, that all that is in the house may not be made unclean; and afterward the priest shall go in to examine the house.

Before the priest examines the house, he must have the house emptied so everything inside will not be pronounced unclean. Then the priest will go in and inspect the house.

When the priest comes and examines the house, if the fungus on the walls of the house has greenish or rusty swelling that appears to go deeper than the surface of the wall,

He is to examine the mildew on the walls, and if it has greenish or reddish depressions that appear to be deeper than the surface of the wall,

Lev.14.37

And he shall examine the plague; and indeed if the plague is on the walls of the house with ingrained streaks, greenish or reddish, which appear to be deep in the wall,

Lev.14.37

If he finds bright green or reddish streaks on the walls of the house and the contamination appears to go deeper than the wall's surface,

Lev.14.38

the priest is to walk out the door and shut the house up for seven days.

Lev.14.38

the priest shall go out the doorway of the house and close it up for seven days.

Lev.14.38

then the priest shall go out of the house, to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days.

Lev.14.38

he will leave the house and lock it up for seven days.

Lev.14.39

On the seventh day he is to come back and conduct another examination; if the fungus has spread in the walls of the house,

Lev.14.39

On the seventh day the priest shall return to inspect the house. If the mildew has spread on the walls,

Lev.14.39

And the priest shall come again on the seventh day and look; and indeed if the plague has spread on the walls of the house,

Lev.14.39

On the seventh day the priest must return for another inspection. If the mildew on the walls of the house has spread,

Lev.14.40

he is to order that the stones affected by the fungus be torn out and thrown in a garbage dump outside the city.

he is to order that the contaminated stones be torn out and thrown into an unclean place outside the town.

Lev.14.40

then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which is the plague, and they shall cast them into an unclean place outside the city.

the priest must order that the stones from those areas be removed. The contaminated material will then be thrown into an area outside the town designated as ceremonially unclean.

He is to make sure the entire inside of the house is scraped and the plaster that is removed be taken away to the garbage dump outside the city.

He must have all the inside walls of the house scraped and the material that is scraped off dumped into an unclean place outside the town.

Lev.14.41

And he shall cause the house to be scraped inside, all around, and the dust that they scrape off they shall pour out in an unclean place outside the city.

Next the inside walls of the entire house must be scraped thoroughly and the scrapings dumped in the unclean place outside the town.

Lev.14.42

Then he is to replace the stones and replaster the house.

Lev.14.42

Then they are to take other stones to replace these and take new clay and plaster the house.

Lev.14.42

Then they shall take other stones and put them in the place of those stones, and he shall take other mortar and plaster the house.

Lev.14.42

Other stones will be brought in to replace the ones that were removed, and the walls will be replastered.

Lev.14.43

"If the fungus breaks out again in the house after the stones have been torn out and the house has been scraped and plastered,

Lev.14.43

"If the mildew reappears in the house after the stones have been torn out and the house scraped and plastered,

Lev.14.43

"Now if the plague comes back and breaks out in the house, after he has taken away the stones, after he has scraped the house, and after it is plastered,

Lev.14.43

"But if the mildew reappears after all these things have been done,

Lev.14.44

the priest is to come and conduct an examination; if the fungus has spread, it is a malignant fungus. The house is unclean.

the priest is to go and examine it and, if the mildew has spread in the house, it is a destructive mildew; the house is unclean.

Lev.14.44

then the priest shall come and look; and indeed if the plague has spread in the house, it is an active leprosy in the house. It is unclean.

the priest must return and inspect the house again. If he sees that the affected areas have spread, the walls are clearly contaminated with an infectious mildew, and the house is defiled.

The house has to be demolished--its stones, wood, and plaster are to be removed to the garbage dump outside the city.

It must be torn down-its stones, timbers and all the plaster-and taken out of the town to an unclean place.

Lev.14.45

And he shall break down the house, its stones, its timber, and all the plaster of the house, and he shall carry them outside the city to an unclean place.

It must be torn down, and all its stones, timbers, and plaster must be carried out of town to the place designated as ceremonially unclean.

Anyone who enters the house while it is closed up is unclean until evening.

"Anyone who goes into the house while it is closed up will be unclean till evening.

Moreover he who goes into the house at all while it is shut up shall be unclean until evening.

Anyone who enters the house while it is closed will be considered ceremonially unclean until evening.

Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash his clothes.

Lev.14.47

Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash his clothes.

And he who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

All who sleep or eat in the house must wash their clothing.

Lev.14.48
